Is Instagram dead?
With the algorithm crack-down on automation, follow/ unfollow and many “fast and organic” methods for growth, is it possible to grow and gain reach on Instagram anymore?
Is Instagram Still Worth It?
While things are a bit more restricted now, Instagram is still one of the fastest-growing social media platforms out there and still has amazing organic reach (especially compared for Facebook.)
Did you know that 200 million Instagram users visit a business profile on Instagram daily? Especially if your target demographic is Millenials and Gen Z, Instagram can be a profitable place to create connections with your future clients and customers! There are so many ways that you can create sales funnels from building a community that knows, likes and trusts your business!
The Death of Fake Growth
Even though many of the “free and easy,” or “free and organic” methods for Instagram growth have gone by the wayside (hint: many of these used to garner you fake followers), you can still build a following quickly or inexpensively. Note that I said inexpensively rather than free. This is because growth within the new algorithm will either be time-intensive, money intensive, or a little bit of both.
However, if you’re willing to spend a few bucks or some focused time in combination with producing great content, Instagram growth will come, along with visibility, reach, connections and loyal fans who are ready and excited to buy your products and services!
Tips for Reviving Your Instagram
Here are some tips as to how you can get around the algorithm changes so that Instagram won’t seem so “dead” anymore.
- Produce top-notch content that provides value to your audience. Always make sure your images are crisp and high-quality. Look at the Insights section of your Instagram business profile to find out what people are engaging with the most.
- The more people and accounts interact with your post within the first few minutes of posting, the more people Instagram will show your post to. If you can post at the time when most of your followers are active, you can up your chances of getting lots of engagement upfront, encouraging the algorithm to push it out to new people.
- Paid ads are by far the fastest way to grow your number of followers on IG, who you can later convert into paying customers and clients. Story ads are the most cost-effective and high-performing type of ad. Followers don’t pay the bills, but the more followers you can build real connections with, the more people you can convert directly from Instagram over to purchasing your products.
